The VDA and its members stand for climate-neutral mobility in Europe by 2050 at the latest. We work for electromobility, climate-neutral drive systems, the implementation of climate targets, securing raw materials, digitalization and networking, and German engineering. We are committed to ensuring that the enormous innovative strength of our member companies is flanked by the right location and framework conditions. After all, it is our industry that secures prosperity in Germany: More than 780,000 people are directly employed in the German automotive industry.
As an association, we represent the interests of automotive manufacturers, suppliers, as well as manufacturers of trailers, bodies and buses, and startups. We unite the various positions of more than 650 companies and represent the German automotive industry unitedly to politicians, the media and social groups. This is a major challenge - but against the backdrop of the unprecedented transformation in which our industry currently finds itself, the task is all the more important. The VDA is also the organizer of the largest international mobility platform, the IAA MOBILITY, and the IAA TRANSPORTATION, the world's most important platform for the future of the commercial vehicle industry.
